If you are looking for an opportunity to help improve the quality of life and reduce the impact of poverty for our neighbors in Downeast Maine, we are looking for you!

We would love to have you join us as a volunteer. Volunteer opportunities at DCP are often as varied as the broad spectrum of services we provide in and for our communities.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Drivers Needed!

Be a part of providing essential transportation for your neighbors. 

  • Help transport residents of Hancock and Washington counties to medical appointments and local shopping trips.
  • Get reimbursed up to $0.50 per mile, nontaxable.

Requirements

  • Complete training as provided.
  • Must pass background checks.

Friendship Cottage is looking for volunteers!

Minimum of a 4-hour commitment on any given day, Monday-Friday.

Volunteers would help with the following activities:

  • Socializing
  • Reading
  • Puzzles
  • Outside Strolls
  • Coloring
  • Music
  • Help with Friday barbecues
  • Help with preparing lunches

Requirements

  • Complete training as provided.
    Must pass background checks.
